Accoya® wood may be coated in the same way as any other wood, using transparent, translucent or opaque coatings. Trials are underway with several leading coating manufacturers to develop guarantees for their systems used in conjunction with Accoya® wood. Close collaboration with Sikkens, part of the world’s leading paint company, Akzo Nobel, has resulted in a package of coatings guarantees for windows and doors that is set to create a new industry benchmark.
